What Are the Advantages of A Heated Towel Radiator?

In bathrooms and utility rooms, whether you’re installing electric towel radiators, dual fuel towel radiators, or central heating towel radiators, there are some advantages that just can’t be matched by a traditional panel or column radiators. Here, we’re going to look at the various advantages of towel radiators. By the time you reach the end of this article, you’ll wonder why you didn’t buy one years ago!

Warm Towels
The cardinal rule is ‘don’t forget your towel’, but how great would it be if, as well as remembering your towel, it’s also roasty toasty warm. On a cold winter’s day, there is nothing better than getting out of the bath or shower, and getting straight into a warm towel. It’s one of life’s little luxuries.

Clean Towels
As well as making sure that you can keep warm after your shower, a heated towel rail will also help to keep your towels clean. It does this by enabling them to dry much quicker than they would over a banister, door or even a non-heated towel rail. This means that it prevents the built up of mould and mildew, which produces that musty smell that towels get after a while. Electric towel radiators will keep your towels fresher for longer.

Warm Bathroom
Heated towel rails act as radiators for the bathroom. Because they usually have a chrome, stainless steel or aluminium finish, they are much more conductive than normal radiators. They release heat much faster. This would be a bad thing normally, because it would cost more to keep the radiator warm. However, the towels act as insulation, making the radiators efficient. That’s why they usually come in a shiny material, to accommodate for the additional insulation that happens when you hang towels on the radiator.
